Center Parcs Longford Forest

If you’ve traveled to Ireland with your family in the past and are looking for more to do then Center Parcs may be a great option. Center Parcs Longford Forest is a holiday resort destination located in County Longford, Ireland. It is about an hour drive from Dublin, situated on 400 acres of woodland, with accommodation ranging from lodges to apartments and treehouses. The resort offers a range of indoor and outdoor activities for all ages, including a subtropical swimming paradise, adventure golf, archery, cycling, and a spa.

The subtropical swimming paradise is a highlight of the Center Parcs resort, with heated indoor and outdoor pools, waterslides, a wave pool, and a lazy river. The resort also offers a variety of on-site restaurants and cafes and can accommodate any tastes including bbq, burgers or indian and thai, as well as a handy supermarket and gift shop.

We arrived with all our local Irish family for a couple days which really is plenty of time to experience all the waterpark has to offer. The rooms are clean and neat, perfect for families and the Center Parcs staff were always top notch. The ladies indulged in a massage titled Elemis Freestyle Deep Tissue at the spa and about an hour later they appeared relaxed and ready for nothing more than a glass of bubbly and light snack before dinner called. The water park itself is ridiculously fun and adults and kids will be able to take advantage of options.

Mobility

One more thing to consider with grand parents. My 79 year old mother-in-law suffers from arthritis and wouldn’t be able to manage a bike on her own and so we were able to rent an electric cart (golf cart) which allowed her to keep up with and in some cases stay ahead of her grand children as we all cycled through the forest paths. Everyone loved it!

If you’re looking for a family-friendly holiday in Ireland with plenty of entertainment activities and amenities, then book a day or two at Center Parcs Longford as you won’t regret it. Now if you’re also traveling onto the UK they have multiple Center Parc locations. But whichever location you visit you might also want to book your dates well ahead as Center Parcs are always a popular attraction.
