Anna Kendrick has a golden voice
Anna Kendrick is an Irish American actress, known for her singing as well as an acclaimed author. Miss Kendrick was born in Portland, Maine, on August 9, 1985 to Janice (Cooke), an accountant, and William Kendrick, a teacher. Kendrick is of Irish, English and Scottish descent.
Miss Kendrick actually began her acting career at the tender age of 6. She wrote in her autobiography, “Scrappy Little Nobody,” she was raised in her hometown of Portland, Maine, and her dance teacher suggested that she try out for the local community theater’s production of “Annie.” Kendrick landed her first role as Tessie, and this took Kendrick along a path that changed her life.
She gained wider recognition for her role in the film “Camp” (2003) and later achieved mainstream success with her performance in “Up in the Air” (2009), for which she received an Academy Award nomination.
Anna Kendrick has since appeared in numerous films, including the “Pitch Perfect” series, “Into the Woods,” “The Accountant,” and “A Simple Favor.” She is also known for her musical talents and has released several singles and contributed to the soundtracks of various films. You could say Anna Kendrick is the perfect mix of comedy, great acting, emotion and she’s also quite relatable as a person.
In addition to her acting career, Miss Kendrick has authored a book titled “Scrappy Little Nobody,” which was published in 2016. The book is a collection of humorous autobiographical essays.

The petite 5’2″ beauty enjoys long hikes in the Santa Monica mountains and whipping up cocktails with friends poolside at her luxurious Los Angeles, Hollywood Hills home. About her height, Miss Kendrick remarks “The thing is, my appearance – that’s never been my moneymaker. I’m fine being small. I’m fine being all the things I am.”
Many fans have questions about Kendrick’s age when she had made the Twilight Saga film. Miss Kendrick was 23 years old when she played the role of Jessica, Bella’s self-centered friend at Forks High School in Washington state. And the character Jessica, whom Kendrick was playing was approximately 17 years of age.
Miss Kendrick doesn’t stick to a strict diet as she enjoys peanut butter in just about any form; an occasional Taco Bell and a thumbs up to desserts, but she makes every effort to include plenty of vegetables and whole foods for staying fit. Her current favorite cocktail is the Quarter Horse.
Funny little fact: Miss Kendrick once had a hot dog named after her. In fact “The Anna Kendrick” is described as a “mighty hot” item at a Chicago eatery called “Hot Doug’s.” After tasting the hot dog, Anna tweeted, “Just had a hot dog called the ‘Anna Kendrick’. Kendrick has an older brother, Michael Cooke Kendrick, who has also acted.
