The Lady in Blue cocktail
She’s gintastic! That may very well be your response after a first sip of this cocktail known as The Lady in Blue. After two sips you might be tapping your feet and humming Cole Porter or Elvis Presley tunes. Either way the message here is that this is a FUN drink to make and enjoy.
You can use any gin for this recipe and we chose Hendrix which is in keeping with a newer fresh vibe this cocktail embodies. You can prepare the drink by adding the blue curacao to the shaker or pouring it separately but either way this cocktail makes a statement.
Ingredients
2 oz Hendrick’s Gin
2 oz Blue Curacao
1 oz passion fruit juice
½ oz lime juice
½ oz simple syrup
1 wedge of fresh lime, (as garnish)
Steps
Place the gin, passion fruit juice, lime juice, and simple syrup in a shaker with ice.
Shake contents until well chilled.
Strain the cocktail contents into a Martini glass.
Gently pour the blue curacao down the side of the Martini glass so that it layers at the bottom of the glass.
Garnish with a wedge of orange or lime. You could also use orange peel for a vibrant aromatic lift.
