History
Modelo Especial, originally began bottling in 1925 in Tacuba, Mexico and was introduced to the market in 1966, today it is sold in both glass bottles as well as cans, making Modelo Especial the leader in the can segment in Mexico. Modelo has its roots in German beers where they borrowed techniques. “To do so, we looked to the treasured techniques of internationally renowned German brewmasters, experts in the art of brewing, for inspiration.”
